Gymboree

I love Gymboree. Especially on sale or in perfect condition at yard sales. I have two girls and I love the way the clothes look and feel and last forever. Lately, I've cut back my spending there because we have enough for fall/winter but I allow myself this little luxury because of my frugal grocery spending. My husband and I budgeted $100 weekly for groceries and if I stay well below that(we're averaging about $65-75 a week) then I have leftover guilt-free spending money!

Anyways, my most favorite thing about Gymboree is how everything matches and it's easy to throw a cute outfit together in minutes. The clothing also has excellent resale value-it's all over eBay. So anything I buy for the girls, I take good care of it and resell it the next year or two. I've always made at least half of what I paid which can go towards new clothes. Coupons for 20% off a purchase can be found in Plum magazine(available at most bookstores and at some OB/GYN's) and the August issue of Parenting. You can also get coupons in the mail by joining their mailing list or by becoming a member of Gymboree Play and Music. They are also for sale on eBay if you are desperate.

The last few back to school lines have been exceptionally cute. Petite Mademoiselle, Prep School and Classroom Kitty for girls and honestly I can't tell you anything about the boys stuff. The new line coming out Sunday is called Lots of Dots and you should be able to get a sneak peek here courtesy of the folks at gymbofriends.com-it's really cute, a lot like the cupcake line from last year. All of the pics are jumbled together but there is Kid Girl, Baby Girl, Kid Boy, Baby Boy and Layette. Thanks for reading and if you got this far, you must be a gymboholic too!

So, my total out of pocket at CVS was $6.38 for about $54 worth of products(and even better that it's all stuff we actually use!)

Then I headed to Target. I needed to refill a prescription for my husband and I had a coupon for a $10 gift card if I transferred to Target. So I stopped at the pharmacy and it took them about ten minutes while I was shopping to transfer my prescription and give me my gift card. I used several coupons and focused mainly on travel size items.
Here's my haul from Target:

Arm n Hammer detergent $2.70
Cascade Action Tabs $4.50
(3)All Small and Mighty detergent (travel size) $3.00(for all three)
Shout wipes(travel size) $1.04

coupons -$1 Arm n Hammer printable
-$1 Cascade Action (got in the mail)
-(3) $1 any All Small and Mighty detergent printables and from Aug All You mag
-$.75 any Shout stain remover
total including tax $5.98 and I just used my new gift card and still have a little leftover!

The really sweet part of this deal is that the pharmacy gave me a gift bag full of free samples including a glade plug-in, Lamisilk lotion, Gold Bond, Gillette shampoo, Burt's Bees Lip balm, Garnier shampoo, some energy bars and a few other soaps I haven't heard of before plus ANOTHER coupon for a $10 gift card with a new or transferred presciption. YAY!!!
